About

Pocket Compass started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of whatever we were stuck on. At some point the tips got long enough to be articles, so we built a home for them. Nothing fancy, just people who like mobile games writing down what they learn.

Every game we cover gets real playtime. We don't skim a trailer and call it a review. Someone on the team installs the thing, plays it for days, hits the same walls readers hit, and only then writes the guide. That's the whole method.

We pick games across genres on purpose. Puzzle fans and racing fans rarely overlap, and we'd rather serve both than chase one crowd. If a game has an interesting hook, decent controls, or a community worth talking about, it's a candidate.

The site stays independent. No studio pays us to say nice things, and when a game disappoints us we say so. That's the only reason a page like this is worth reading.

Lukas Meinhardt — Lukas has been reviewing mobile titles for the better part of a decade and still refuses to play anything with the sound off. He edits every guide before it goes live.
