Ashfall Legion
★★★★★ 4.6
Ashfall Legion caught me off guard. I went in expecting a throwaway mobile RPG and got a genuinely sharp turn-based combat system with a party you actually care about. Each character has a distinct role, and swapping your lineup before a tough fight matters more than raw levels do.
The story is darker than the cartoon art suggests. There's a slow-burn plot about a collapsing kingdom, and the writing has real bite in places. Between battles you manage skills, gear and a small camp that unlocks over time. It respects your attention.
My only gripe is that the early hours are a touch slow to open up. Push past the first few chapters and the systems bloom into something you can really sink into on a long evening.
What we liked
- Tactical turn-based combat
- A story with genuine weight
